Everything from spot-on congee, dependable dim sum, and boffo eggs Benedict with barbecued pork. The atmosphere’s enough to make you remember when housing developers ruled the roost. While they’re busy licking their wounds, the folks that count are busy licking their chops over Shawn Armstrong’s banana bread French toast. At Mandarin Oriental, 3752 Las Vegas Blvd. S. Mon.-Sun., 6:30 a.m.-11 a.m., 11:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m., 6 p.m.-10:30 p.m. (888) 881-9367.

MOzen Bistro MOzen Bistro serves a flavor of the east not only on the menu, but in the design and in their sincere and attentive service. The all-day dining restaurant is a kitchen theater of Pan-Asian and international cuisine with an exhibition noodle bar, rotisserie and grill. A clean, contemporary feel is complemented by deeply comfortable leather banquettes. Geometry and art introduce some striking creativity; with three spectacular circular steel and glass rod chandeliers suspended above round tables.
Breakfast is served from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Lunch is from noon to 2:30 p.m. Bento by Mozen Bistro, a unique dining experience, is served 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
A new Jazz Sundays brunch, highlighted by a guitar-and-bass duo, is available from noon until 2:30 p.m. for $58.
