Metro Police have arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of another man Tuesday afternoon. Police say the shooting occurred as the result of the reckless use of a shotgun.
Police said they were called about 1 p.m. to the 300 block of View Drive, which is southeast of the U.S. 95-Jones Boulevard interchange. When officers arrived, they found a man dead with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Homicide detectives conducted an investigation and arrested John Stamm in connection with the shooting.
Police said Stamm and the victim, whose identity hasn't been released, were playing with a shotgun when the gun discharged and killed the man.
Stamm was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of murder with use of a deadly weapon, Metro said.
