The Garfield County (Utah) sheriff's office says a Las Vegas man has drowned while fishing in southern Utah's Panguitch Lake.
The sheriff's office says 52-year-old Kenneth Alan Medberry was killed Wednesday.
Medberry was fishing with a friend and went overboard when the line of an anchor he threw into the lake got tangled, causing the boat to capsize. Both men fell into the water.
Medberry's friend made it to shore but authorities say Medberry was overcome by the cold water and drowned. Paramedics who arrived on the scene couldn't revive Medberry.
Medberry's friend was treated for hypothermia and released.
Deputies say neither man was wearing a life vest.
