Two injured in collision at intersection

Metro Police have identified two Las Vegas drivers involved in a car crash Tuesday afternoon that left one person with serious injuries.

At 2:17 p.m., Aderaw Melaku, 26, was driving a 1994 Toyota Camry northbound on Solteros Street, attempting to make a left turn onto Flamingo Road, police said.

A 2008 Infiniti G37s, driven by Tracy Kruzan, 48, was headed eastbound in the center lane of Flamingo Road and collided with the left side of the Toyota, police said.

The intersection is between Jones and Decatur boulevards.

Both drivers were transported to University Medical Center. Kruzan suffered minor injuries, and Melaku was admitted with serious injuries, police said.

The accident remains under investigation, police said.
