Coroner identifies man who jumped from Cosmopolitan

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified an Arkansas businessman who jumped to his death July 25 from a balcony at the Cosmopolitan.

Paul Bynum Jr., 54, died from multiple blunt force injuries, the coroner said. His death was ruled a suicide.

The incident happened about 4:45 a.m. Bynum was from Springdale, Ark.

According to The Herald-Leader in Arkansas, Bynum managed Bynum Home Furnishings in Siloam Springs, Ark.

Bynum's death is not the first suicide at the Cosmopolitan. In March, a 25-year-old New Jersey man committed suicide by jumping from a ledge at the resort.
