Christmas gifts such as hats and scarves won’t be necessary for those heading back to work after the New Year’s holiday.
Temperatures will climb to the mid 60s most days, according to the National Weather Service.
The warm front that ushered in 2012 will hang around for a few more days, forecasters said. Today will be mostly sunny with a high of 64 degrees and calm wind, forecasters said.
The thermometer will top out at 65 degrees Wednesday and Thursday before dropping back to a high of 64 degrees Friday, the weather service said.
Overnight temperatures could reach the low 40s through Thursday, forecasters said. Friday night’s low temperature will be 38 degrees.
Monday’s temperature peaked at 66 degrees before 3 p.m., just shy of forecasters’ predictions.
Today’s normal high is 57 degrees, and the normal low is 39 degrees, according to weather service data. The record high temperature on this date was 69 degrees, set in 1997.
