Metro Police homicide detectives are investigating the Saturday death of a Clark County Detention Center inmate who possibly suffered a seizure.
Police said the man’s cellmate summoned corrections officers at about 1 p.m. Saturday, indicating the man had experienced a seizure.
Medical personnel arrived and found the inmate unconscious, police said. He was transported to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said detention center staff were aware the inmate had health problems.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will identify the man pending notification of his family. No other details about the man’s arrest history were released.
