Police nab suspect in downtown Las Vegas grow house

Pot bust

A 47-year-old woman wanted in connection to a pot bust last year was arrested today by police who found her inside a suspected downtown Las Vegas grow house filled with marijuana plants worth $80,000.

Jacqueline Mangini and her husband, Patrick Mangini, 57, were both arrested and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on charges of possession of marijuana and possession with the intent to sell, said Lt. Laz Chavez, of Metro Police’s narcotics section.

A fugitive task force was searching for Jacqueline Mangini, who had warrants out for her suspected involvement in a grow house operation last year, Chavez said.

At about 1 p.m. today police found her and her husband at the 1600 block of East Carson Avenue, Chavez said.

The house contained about 25 marijuana plants with a street value around $80,000, Chavez said.
