A 64-year-old Henderson woman died in a three-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon in Henderson.
Henderson Police reported the woman was riding in a Nissan around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday. The Nissan, heading north on Eastgate Road, had stopped at a stop sign but then failed to yield and was struck by a Ford F-150 pickup traveling west on Warm Springs Road. The impact sent the Nissan crashing into a Dodge minivan.
The 64-year-old, who appeared to not have been wearing a seat belt, was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Another passenger also was transported to St. Rose with injuries not thought to be life-threatening. A third passenger was transported to Sunrise Hospital Trauma Unit in critical condition.
The other drivers and passengers also sustained minor or nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased woman’s identity after next-of-kin is notified.
This is the eighth fatal traffic accident and 11th traffic-related death this year in Henderson, police said.
