Nove Italiano Chef Geno Bernardo hosts a once-a-month cooking class at the Palms on June 4, 2011.

Geno Bernardo, executive chef of Nove Italiano at the Palms, will prepare local ingredients from his own farm, as well as other area farms, during this month's Project Dinner Table.

The June edition of the pop-up dinner series is set for June 30 at the University of Nevada's Cooperative Extension Orchard, 4600 Horse Drive, North Las Vegas. The evening begins with a cocktail hour at 6:30, followed by a six-course dinner served family style.

This month's dinner will benefit the Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada and the Vegas Roots Community Garden, formerly Tonopah Community Garden.

Bernardo has run Nove Italiano on the 51st floor of the Palms Fantasy Tower since 2006.

Every one of Project Dinner Table's 15 events have sold out since the series began in 2010, raising $48,000 for charitable organizations.

Vegetarian options are available. Tickets are $140 and are available online. Other dinners in the series are scheduled Sept. 8, Oct. 13 and Nov. 11.
