Waterproof, breathable and anti-bacterial. These are the makings of a great dayclub shoe.
Just ask the staff at Marquee Dayclub at the Cosmopolitan, which is now wearing loafers from SWIMS, the Norwegian lifestyle brand founded by Johan Ringdal in 2005 and always a favorite in the hospitality industry.
“We felt that the Cosmopolitan is the perfect fit for SWIMS,” says Alex Eskeland, CEO of the SWIMS. “The hotel is a wonderfully modern and elegantly designed hotel, and we both tailor to a similar clientele.”
All 35 Marquee host and hostesses are sporting the waterproof loafers at the dayclub through the end of August. Going off the color scheme of the hotel, men are wearing a navy and gray two-toned penny front loafer, and the women are wearing SWIMS in lavender.
SWIMS has been sought out by two other Vegas dayclubs so far, according to Eskeland, but they prefer to work with one at a time right now. If you don’t want to get a job at Marquee, but still want to sport SWIMS, you can find them at Neiman Marcus and JC Shoes Inc. in Aria and Bellagio.
