Woman found dead in apartment fire

A woman and two animals are dead after an apartment fire Saturday morning, according to the Clark County Fire Department.
Clark County firefighters say they found the 51-year-old woman, a dog and a cat dead at 4225 Solteros St., near West Flamingo Road and South Decatur Boulevard, at about 7:30 a.m. when responding to the fourplex. The fire is believed to have started from a lit cigarette.
The fire, which was contained to the living room, caused an estimated $50,000 in damage, according to county officials.
The fire is under investigation.
