Dave Rice, Lon Kruger to co-host Coaches vs. Cancer event in Las Vegas

UNLV coach Dave Rice and his predecessor, current Oklahoma coach Lon Kruger, will co-host the fifth annual Coaches vs. Cancer Party with a Purpose on Sunday at Hyde at Bellagio.

The event is part of a national campaign benefitting the American Cancer Society that’s supported by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Over the previous four years, the Las Vegas Event has raised nearly $750,000.

The party is from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, with tickets going for $100 per person, including cocktails and food. Cocktail tables are also available for $1,000 (10 tickets) and VIP tables start at $2,500. All of the proceeds support the fight against cancer.

Special guests include BYU coach Dave Rose, Kansas State coach Bruce Weber, Nebraska coach Tim Miles, Oregon coach Dana Altman, Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall, comedian Carrot Top and a performance from comedian Rodney Carrington.
