Fatal accident
A Reno man died after he crashed his moped into a stopped Freightliner box truck on Sahara Avenue near Valley View Boulevard around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
Witnesses said the truck was traveling east on Sahara Avenue when it stopped in traffic, Metro Police officials said. A 26-year-old man driving the moped failed to slow down and collided into the back of the truck.
The man was taken to University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Metro Police said the accident is under investigation.
