A mother and daughter could spend the rest of their lives in prison after killing their 73-year-old neighbor in Las Vegas and pawning her coin collection.
Forty-six-year-old Lourie Rodriguez was sentenced Monday to 22 years to life in prison in the killing last April. Her 27-year-old daughter, Amber Hall, was ordered to 11 years to life in prison.
Police said Hall hid a board in her 3-month-old son's stroller on a visit to Jean Greenburg's apartment before Rodriguez used the board and a knife to attack Greenburg.
A search of their apartment turned up more than $2,500, which Hall told police came from pawning Greenburg's coins.
Rodriguez pleaded guilty in January to first-degree murder and robbery, while Hall pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and robbery.
