A 50-ton crane fell off a semitrailer and into the roadway Monday afternoon, briefly blocking traffic near Rainbow and Lake Mead boulevards.
The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when the crane fell off a semitrailer traveling on Rainbow Boulevard just south of the Lake Mead Boulevard intersection, blocking the northbound lanes and forcing a temporary road closure.
The crane has since been removed and traffic is flowing normally, Metro Police officer Larry Hadfield said.
No injuries were reported, Hadfield said.
