Fatal motorcycle crash
A 24-year-old Las Vegas man was killed Sunday evening after crashing a motorcycle into a guardrail on State Route 160 near Pahrump.
The man was traveling northbound on a KTM motorcycle around 5:30 p.m. Sunday when he appeared to hit the metal guardrail on the right side of the road, about 3 miles past the fire station on State Route 160, Trooper Loy Hixson said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
Investigators are still determining the cause of the accident, he said, and the Clark County Coroner's Office was still determining a positive identification of the deceased as of Monday morning.
