Deadly house fire

The Clark County Coroner's Office has identified one of the people found dead in a Henderson house fire Wednesday.

Donna Griffin, 88, was found dead after fire crews beat back a blaze at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday at a residence on Armstrong Circle in Henderson. The body of an adult male was also found in the home, but the coroner's office is still working to identifying him.

The fire, which began in the living room of the residence, appears to be accidental in nature, said Jeff Lytle, deputy chief of operations with the Henderson Fire Department.

No foul play is suspected in both the deaths and the fire, he said, and no estimate of damage was made due to discovery of the deceased.

"No dollar amount equals the loss of life," he said.
