Officials seek public’s help in investigation of Mt. Charleston blaze

Authorities are still investigating the cause of a Mt. Charleston fire that burned close to 40 acres earlier in June and are asking for the public’s help.

The fire was first reported around 8 p.m. Sunday near Lovell Canyon Road and Lovell Summit Road, authorities said. Approximately 150 firefighters from numerous agencies battled the fire through Monday, containing the blaze to 37.5 acres.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and anyone with knowledge of people or vehicles possibly involved with the fire are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
