Power outage
An NV Energy outage that left 9,000 customers without power in the northeast valley has been fixed, officials said.
The power outage, which stemmed from a major substation, was reported about 4 p.m. in the area near Carey Avenue and Nellis Boulevard, NV Energy spokesman Mark Severts said. Crews had restored power an hour later.
Today’s heat likely played a role in the outage, Severts said.
