Metro Police and the Clark County Department of Family Services are investigating the death of a 1-year-old child Monday at a local hospital.
The child was checked in at the hospital last week in critical condition but was initially expected to survive, according to reports from the Department of Family Services.
The child suffered injuries, but they were not consistent with the caregiver’s explanation, according to the reports.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office has not yet released a cause of death.
