A Las Vegas woman was sentenced to a maximum of four years in prison today for Medicaid fraud.
Sherice Joann Williams, 39, was convicted on one felony offense of submitting false claims — Medicaid fraud. She faces 12 to 48 months in prison and a payment of $9,783 in restitution, penalties and costs, Nevada Attorney General Jennifer Lopez said.
From February 2012 and May 2012, Williams submitted fraudulent documents claiming that she provided behavioral health services to a Medicaid recipient. A Nevada Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit investigation found that the person she claimed to treat did not receive those services, Lopez said
