Authorities have identified a 52-year-old man who died during hike on Veterans Day at Red Rock Canyon.
Clark County coroner's officials say Las Vegas resident John Andrew Christensen died Monday afternoon. A cause of death hasn't been released.
Las Vegas police say the man's son called police around 2 p.m. asking for medical assistance in the Ice Box Canyon area.
Officials say the man was dead by the time rescuers arrived.
It's not the first death this year at the popular hiking destination. In May, a teen fell about 80 feet to his death in the Calico tanks area after straying from his friends to do some exploring amid the colorful rocks.
