Traffic Accidents:

Passenger who died at hospital after 2-vehicle crash identified

Passenger dies in wreck

The female passenger killed in a car collision Wednesday night was identified today as 30-year-old Iva Georgieva Mihova of Las Vegas, Clark County Coroner’s Office officials said.

Metro Police responded to the crash at the intersection of Warm Springs Road and Eastern Avenue at about 11:50 p.m. A BMW sedan was making a left turn onto Warm Springs Road when a Ford sedan traveling north on Eastern Avenue failed to stop at the stoplight, police said. The Ford slammed into the passenger side of the BMW, which then hit the front of a stopped Toyota sedan.

Mihova, a passenger in the BMW, was transported with critical injuries to Sunrise Hospital, where she later died, Metro spokesman Larry Hadfield said.

The drivers of the BMW and the Ford were also transported to Sunrise Hospital but did not suffer any injuries. The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries but was not transported to the hospital.

Metro is investigating the collision.
