A 12-year-old boy is in critical condition after a vehicle hit him Saturday while he was riding his bike.
Metro Police responded about 5:10 p.m. to the collision at Trailwood Drive and Delaney Creek Lane. The boy had been riding his bike north on Delaney Creek Lane when he entered the lane of a Chevrolet sedan, police said.
The driver collided with the boy, causing him to be thrown from his bike. The boy was taken to University Medical Center Trauma with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Metro is investigating the collision.
