People believe what their personal prejudices allow them to believe.
Therefore, it was no surprise to read a letter to the editor suggesting that the Affordable Health Care’s website is having trouble because it has been sabotaged by Republicans.
That must be because there are so many American Republicans working for the Canadian company who developed the website.
It must be because Republicans gave a no-bid contract to this Canadian company.
It must be because these said Republicans went to school with senior executives of this Canadian company.
It must be because there were no American companies that could do the job.
Did I say that people believe what they want to believe?
