Rebels schedule home-and-home football series against Northern Illinois

The Rebels also announce a home game against Northern Colorado

UNLV football has scheduled a home-and-home series with Northern Illinois beginning next season, it was announced today. The Rebels will host NIU next year and then travel to DeKalb, Ill., in 2015.

Additionally, UNLV also announced a home game against Division I-AA Northern Colorado next season on Sept. 20. Northern Illinois plays in the Mid-American Conference and is 6-0.

These games, combined with the Rebels’ previously schedule non-conference matchups, create a challenging slate over the next two years. UNLV will have at least six home games each season.

Here’s how it currently looks:


8/30 — at Arizona

9/13 — Northern Illinois

9/20 — Northern Colorado

11/15 — at BYU


9/5 — at Northern Illinois

9/12 — UCLA

9/19 — at Michigan

11/14 — BYU
