A man shot and killed Tuesday night inside a Tammany Hills apartment was identified today as 57-year-old Alvine Eugene Moore, Clark County Coroner’s Office officials said.
Metro Police responded about 8:10 p.m. to reports of a shooting at the apartment complex in the 4300 block of Escondido Street, just east of the UNLV campus. Officers discovered Moore suffering from a gunshot wound on the living room floor, police said.
An investigation determined that Moore lived at the apartment and was shot after a violent struggle, police said. Investigators believe Moore knew his attackers, police said.
Moore was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where he later died from a gunshot wound to the chest, coroner’s officials said.
