Overturned semitrailer cleared; on-ramp to U.S. 95 from Interstate 15 now open

Updated Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 | 2:13 p.m.

A semitrailer carrying pallets of magazines overturned today on the U.S. 95 southbound on-ramp at the Spaghetti Bowl, causing the ramp to close for more than four hours.

Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the accident at about 9:20 a.m. The truck was exiting southbound Interstate 15 to southbound U.S. 95 when it flipped over. The truck spilled magazines, diesel fuel and oil onto the single-lane ramp and is blocking the lane, Trooper Loy Hixson said.

The ramp reopened at about 1:50 p.m. after the spill was cleaned up, Hixson said. No one was injured in the accident, and no other vehicle was involved.

Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
