Power temporarily knocked out for more than 1,500

Power has been restored for more than 1,500 people after an outage this morning near Lake Mead Boulevard and Comstock Drive.

The outage, caused by a downed line, occurred about 6:15 a.m., and power was restored to all but 18 customers by 9 a.m., NV Energy officials said. NV Energy crews were working to restore power to the remaining customers.

Officials could not immediately say what caused the downed line.
