A man who barricaded himself in his northeast valley trailer for five hours Friday evening was found dead with a self-inflicted wound, according to Metro Police.
SWAT officers were called to the 2600 block of Betty Lane near Nellis Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue around 3:45 p.m. after a man in his 60s allegedly stabbed another man following an argument, said Metro spokeswoman Lt. Yaz Yatomi.
The suspect then barricaded himself inside a trailer until officers found him just before 9 p.m. He had a handgun and a knife in his possession, but it wasn't known which was used, Yatomi said.
The stabbing victim was transported to University Medical Center with nonlife-threatening the injuries.
