Two adults and two children escaped injury Wednesday night in a fire that did about $40,000 damage to a two-story house near Flamingo Road and Tenaya Way, Clark County Fire Department officials said.

Firefighters arrived about 6:15 p.m. to the house at 4236 Sandcastle Drive to find the fire in a second-floor bedroom, officials said.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue crews also were called to assist. The flames were extinguished within about 15 minutes.
