A motorcyclist was killed today after crashing into a wall along Interstate 15 North at the Charleston Boulevard off-ramp, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist hit a wall next to the right travel lane about 9:15 a.m. and was ejected from his bike, which caught fire, Trooper Loy Hixson said.
At some point, a taxi struck the rider, Hixson said. Troopers are investigating to determine if the taxi hit the motorcyclist before or after the crash. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, Hixson said.
The right three lanes on I-15 at Charleston Boulevard are closed to traffic.
