Henderson officer accused of throwing fit at bank

The Henderson Police Department has launched an internal investigation into a police captain accused of throwing a fit after having to wait at a bank.

According to employees at a U.S. Bank branch in Henderson, Capt. Bobby Long used abusive language and threatened them on April 25.

A supervisor called 911 after the 46-year-old Long, who was off duty at the time, refused to leave.

The city of Henderson issued a statement Thursday saying it takes the allegations "very seriously" and finds the alleged behavior "unacceptable."

The city says it would take "appropriate action" based on the results of the internal investigation.

Long told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that there were "two sides to the story," but he couldn't comment because of the investigation.
