Metro investigating death of man in eastern valley

Metro Police homicide detectives are investigating after officers found a man dead in a pool of blood today in the eastern Las Vegas Valley, according to Metro Police.

Officers found the dead man around 4 p.m. after being called to do a welfare check near Lake Mead Boulevard and Linn Lane, Lt. John Liberty said.

At first, the death appeared to be suicide, but detectives from the violent crimes unit believed the scene looked suspicious and homicide detectives were called, Liberty said.
