Search-and-rescue officers have found a 16-year-old boy reported missing in the Mount Charleston area Saturday morning after he got separated from friends and family, according to Metro Police.
The boy was reported missing about 4 a.m. on Cathedral Rock Trail and was believed to have supplies including a tent, food, water and a cellphone when he was missing, Lt. Jeff Goodwin said. He had been camping in the area since Thursday.
Police responded about 7:30 a.m., and by 1:45 p.m., the boy was found safe, Goodwin said.
