A pedestrian suffered critical injuries Monday evening after being struck by a car in the east Las Vegas Valley.
The incident occurred about 9 p.m. on Owens Avenue between Nellis and Lamb boulevards. Authorities reported that the pedestrian, who has not been identified, was crossing Owens outside of a designated crosswalk when he or she was hit by an eastbound 2009 Jaguar XF.
The pedestrian was then transported to University Medical Center in critical condition.
The accident remains under investigation by Metro.
