Crash

A Las Vegas couple died in a Sunday morning rollover crash in San Diego that hospitalized three other passengers, according to the office of the San Diego County Medical Examiner.

Husband and wife Sergio Manzo, 23, and Brenda Alejandra Vasquez, 22, were in a Nissan northbound on Interstate 805, south of Home Avenue, about 6 a.m. when the vehicle headed right and crashed into a guardrail, according to a San Diego County Medical Examiner news release.

Vasquez was driving the Nissan, which rolled over, hitting an overpass support column, the release said.

It was not immediately clear why the vehicle veered to the right.

California Highway Patrol and the San Diego Fire Department were called to the scene.

Vasquez and Manzo were removed from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, according to the release.

Three other passengers were taken to area hospitals, the release said. Their conditions were not immediately available.
