The driver of a Ford Explorer died after a collision with Ford Mustang on Saturday about 4:13 a.m. in North Las Vegas, according to a press release.
Witnesses reported the Explorer was headed south on Simmons Street when struck by the Mustang that was traveling west on Craig Road, according to a preliminary investigation by North Las Vegas Police.
The occupants of the Mustang, a 17-year-old male driver and 19-year-old male passenger, did not have life-threatening injuries and were transported to University Medical Center.
Police believe speed and alcohol may have been a factor in the fatal collision, according to the report.
