Two people sustained gunshot wounds near downtown Las Vegas this morning.
When police arrived at the scene in the 1800 block of Lewis Avenue, near Charleston Boulevard and Bruce Street, they found a female with a bullet injury in her foot. A male later arrived on scene with a leg injury, according to Metro Police Officer Laura Meltzer. Both were transported to University Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
The call came in around 9:40 a.m., Meltzer said.
