A man was shot Wednesday night by an intruder who broke into his home in the southeast valley, Metro Police said.
The intruder broke into the victim’s house about 7 p.m. in the 3400 block of Wingrove Avenue, Officer Jesse Roybal said. The homeowner confronted the intruder and was shot, police said.
The homeowner was taken to University Medical Center with injuries not considered life threatening, Roybal said.
