2 hospitalized after shooting in early morning near Linq

Two men were hospitalized Saturday morning after an argument near the Linq escalated into a shooting, Metro Police said.

At 6:22 a.m., officers received reports that a man had been shot in the area of Linq Lane and East Flamingo Road, Lt. Jeff Goodwin said. The man was taken to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Goodwin said.

Two groups of people had been arguing before the shooting. A second man was taken to UMC about 11 a.m. with minor injuries related to the shooting, Goodwin said.

Police don’t have any more information about the people involved and aren’t sure what started the argument, Goodwin said.

A small section of Linq Lane north of Flamingo Road was closed as detectives investigated.
