Dooley Elementary School was locked down for about three hours today as officers investigated a report of a gunshot in the area, Clark County School District Police said.
Someone reported hearing a shot about 11 a.m. near the school in the vicinity of Boulder Highway and Equestrian Drive, Henderson Police spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.
The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution while Henderson and CCSD Police investigated the report, Richards said.
No suspect could be located, CCSD Police Capt. Ken Young said.
The lockdown was lifted about 2:15 p.m., and students were dismissed at the normal time, Young said.
