Woman who died in collision with RTC bus identified

A 45-year-old woman who died Thursday after a crash involving a small Regional Transportation Commission bus at Fort Apache and Desert Inn roads has been identified as Trinese Desire Bolden of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

According to Metro Police:

Bolden was driving northbound on Fort Apache about 3 p.m. when she entered the intersection of Desert Inn on a red light.

Her Audi sedan struck a Paratransit Service shuttle bus that was traveling eastbound on Desert Inn Rd through the Fort Apache intersection on a green light.

The collision sent the Audi into a GMC pickup truck that was waiting mid-intersection to turn left onto Fort Apache from Desert Inn.

The three drivers — and sole occupants of the involved vehicles — were transported to University Medical Center. Bolden was pronounced dead at the hospital. The bus driver, a 63-year-old North Las Vegas man, suffered substantial injuries. The pickup driver, a 29-year-old Las Vegas woman, suffered minor injuries.

The crash marks the 94th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction this year.
