Sunset comes on after stormy clouds and rain.

A flash flood watch is in effect for most of Clark County until 10 p.m. today as there is an 80 percent chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop over the valley, the National Weather Service said.

A flash flood warning was also in effect for the western part of the valley, near Red Rock, earlier in the day.

This afternoon, flooding and debris caused the closure of U.S. 95 at State Route 160 in both directions up until mile marker 29 in Nye County, according to Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Chelsea Stuenkel. There were also reports of hail at Mount Charleston, according to the weather service, and valley residents posted videos and reports of hail elsewhere throughout the valley online.

Thunderstorms, which are moving from southwest to northeast at 15 to 25 mph, could produce up to 1 inch of rain per hour, according to the weather service website.

Today's high will be 77 degrees, with a low of 65 degrees. There's a 40 percent chance for rain after 11 p.m.

Monday will bring mostly sunny skies with a high of 76 degrees. Partly cloudy skies will fill the evening, with a low of 63 degrees.
