Metro attempting to locate person of interest in shooting

Metro Police are asking for the public's help in locating a person of interest in a homicide that occurred in the western part of the valley Saturday evening.

According to police:

Mose Bennett, 23, is being sought in connection to the shooting, which was reported at 8:27 p.m. in an apartment in the 1300 block of Kari Lee Court, near Charleston and Rainbow boulevards.

A man was killed after being shot as a result of an argument inside the apartment during a child's party.

Police found the man near the apartment's stairwell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made, and a motive is unknown. The incident remains under investigation.

The shooting marks the 101st homicide investigated by Metro Police this year.

The identity and cause of death of the victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner's office.
