Updated Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015 | 3:33 p.m.

A man was fatally stabbed Wednesday night near a shopping center in the 4100 block of South Fort Apache Road, according to Metro Police.

Also according to police:

Callers reported the stabbing about 5:50 p.m. Police and bystanders tried to help the injured man, who was transported to University Medical Center and later pronounced dead, police said. His identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, pending notification of next of kin.

Detectives think he was in an argument with another man before the stabbing.

The suspect left with an unknown woman in a white, two-door sedan with white trim and tinted windows, possibly a Toyota Celica.

The suspect is described as a thin black man in his 20s, and he was last seen wearing a white tank top and dark pants. The woman is believed to be white and 5 feet, 5 inches, with dark hair. She was last seen with a ponytail, a white shirt and jeans.

This is the 104th homicide this year investigated by Metro Police.
