Bishop Gorman High grad Ronnie Stanley, right, appears on one of Sports Illustrated’s four regional covers for its college football season preview edition. Stanley is a senior offensive lineman at Notre Dame.

Bishop Gorman High grad and projected first-round NFL Draft pick Ronnie Stanley might wear Under Armour cleats next fall during his rookie season. Then again, he might wear a pair from Nike.

You might also see the Notre Dame product sporting attire from adidas.

Stanley this week inked a shoe and apparel deal with local online retail giant Zappos, and since Zappos sells gear from multiple companies, Stanley won’t be limited in what he plays in.

“Most guys do a shoe deal and they don’t have any flexibility because they are tied to who paid them,” Stanley told ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell. “I can do whatever I want.”

The offensive tackle Stanley, who multiple experts predict will be a top-10 overall pick, will be the first paid endorser for the site, Rovell reports.

“This is very much unknown territory for us,” said Jeff Espersen, the Zappos general manager, to ESPN.com. “But as people who are deeply involved with Las Vegas, we’ve followed Ronnie’s amazing career to where he is today. He’s a good person, and like us, he wants to be very involved in the community.”
