A driver was shot in the east valley Thursday night, causing him to crash into parked vehicles, according to Metro Police.
The man was shot multiple times about 8:30 p.m. by a person standing on a sidewalk in the area of Eastern and Owens avenues, Metro Lt. Charles Jenkins said. He was expected to survive after being taken to University Medical Center.
The investigation is ongoing, he said, and no arrests have been announced.
