Metro Police and volunteers will go door to door Saturday in a northeast valley neighborhood in an effort to generate new leads in an unsolved fatal shooting.
Heriberto Diaz-Marcial, 60, of Las Vegas was shot to death about 1:15 a.m. on Feb. 20 while he was walking in the area of Lake Mead Boulevard and Marion Drive, police said. Detectives said Diaz-Marcial was likely robbed.
He died at University Medical Center from a gunshot wound to the chest, according to the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Metro officers and volunteers plan to knock on at least 500 doors in the area where Diaz-Marcial was shot.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Metro at 702-828-3251 or to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555. Tips leading directly to an arrest or indictment processed through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
